Talking about our partnership

Celebrating our partnership: a guide to talking about your support from the Foundation

We're thrilled to have you join us as a new charity partner. We know you're doing amazing work, and we want to help you communicate your charity's achievements. To help you maximise our partnership, we have put together a quick guide explaining how to mention our partnership in any materials you create, such as reports, brochures, or your website.

This guide covers:

If you have any questions about how to talk about your grant or programme, please email media@lloydsbankfoundation.org.uk

How and when to talk about the partnership

Once you’ve been approved for funding and support, we’ll send over our funding agreement, and you’re ready to celebrate this partnership. We encourage you to share news of the grant and support on your website, social media, with your networks, and with local press.

There are a couple of things to remember when talking about us.

Do use:

Lloyds Bank Foundation for England and Wales

Lloyds Bank Foundation

The Foundation

Don’t use:

Lloyds

Lloyds Foundation

Lloyds Bank

Lloyds Banking Group

LBFEW

Please note: People sometimes confuse Lloyds Banking Group and Lloyds Bank Foundation. While we are funded by the Lloyds Banking Group and often work closely with them, we are an independent charitable foundation.

Using our logo

Lloyds Bank Foundation for England and Wales logo with transparent background

This is our primary logo and should be used on light backgrounds.

Use the reversed logo on dark backgrounds (white text, black horse on a white square).

Use the reversed logo on dark backgrounds (white text, black horse on a white square).

You're welcome to use our logo when talking the partnership but please use the files we have provided and do not edit it. You’ll find logo files in different formats in our brand guidelines here, as well as guidance on how to use the logo on promotional materials such as a webpage, report, or artwork.

PNG, TIFF and JPEG versions are for use in documents or can be used online on your website. Do not enlarge them, as the image will distort. EPS format is suitable for printed materials as they can be increased to any size. Do not try to open it, just import it into the relevant document.

Please refer to our brand guidelines when promoting your grant or programme.

Promoting the partnership on social media

Social media is a great place to let your community know what you’re up to. When you’re ready to publicly announce the partnership, share a post and don’t forget to tag us so that we can see it too.

Here are some suggestions of what you could share:

• You've received unrestricted funding or support from Lloyds Bank Foundation
• The length of your grant or support
• What the grant or support will help your charity achieve

Promoting the partnership to the media

Why not write a press release about our partnership? It’s a great way to remind your community of the great work you do. Don’t forget to send us a draft first so we can take a look and use these standard paragraphs about us in the "Notes to editors":

About Lloyds Bank Foundation for England and Wales
We’re an independent charitable foundation funded by Lloyds Banking Group. We work in partnership with small and local charities, people and communities, changing lives and working towards a more just and compassionate society. The needs and aspirations of people drive our work. We strengthen the small and local charities that support them and the communities they live in, and advocate for a better future. Through unrestricted funding, support to develop, and influencing policy and practice we help small and local charities thrive, communities grow stronger, and people overcome complex issues and barriers so they can transform their lives.

Keeping in touch

Let's keep in touch as you move through your support journey. Whether you follow us on social media or reach out when you have questions, we want to hear from you.

We can help spread the word about great work done by small charities across England and Wales, sharing inspiring stories that the media can share too. If you've got an interesting story to tell, let us know. It could be about your charity in general, a staff member or volunteer, or an anecdote that brings your work to life. We also highlight stories on our website as case studies

Share your updates with us and send over photos of your work in action. High resolution JPEGs or TIFFs at 1500px or bigger would be great. Please include photo credits and confirmation that you have permission to share.

Welcome to Lloyds Bank Foundation. We hope this helps guide our continued partnership. If you have any questions about how to talk about your grant or programme, please email media@lloydsbankfoundation.org.uk
